In a unexpected partnership that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Uncovered
According to the authorized release, "An unusual encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden group.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar tests and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana together with multiple objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
